Non-stick-coating NSC 45


The advantages:

  • The method combines the advantages of hard metal alloys with the
    non-stick effects of PTFE.
  • The formation of deposits on the cylinder surface is greatly reduced by the coating
  • The coated cylinder is – where this remains necessary – well suitable for use of doctor
  • With the coating the cylinder obtains the highest resistance against wear and corosion

The method:

  • The cylinder is analized and brought to optimal condition by measures like contour grinds, coatings, edge repair or spot repair.
  • With the help of our high-speed-coating equipment a carbide layer is sprayed onto the base material. This layer connects very goot with the base material and at the same time is porous enough to hold the non-stick-coating layer securely.
  • Now the PTFE can be applied onto the carbide and hardened at high temperatures.

By this method, a very uniform coating is achieved. Also the hardness and the surface roughness of the cylinder are constant as a result.
The surface characteristics of the non-stick-coating NSC 45 will even be improved by the subsequent use of doctors.
